You Know Me

My account was hacked.

The company called because the $50 purchase was not something I would typically buy.

They know me so well.

They know I like shoes and mystery books and toys and Christmas music.

But they don't know what color my eyes are. They don't know that I love Mexican food and fried catfish and iced tea. They don't know that I love sunrises and sunsets and the sound of the ocean.

Honestly, they only love me for my credit card. They don't really know me at all.

But God does.

He knows how many hairs are on my head and what their natural color actually is. He even knows how to pronounce my name. He knows the things that drive me crazy and the things that bring me joy. He knows the depth of my soul and the width of my heart.

He knows me so well.

"O Eternal One, you have explored my heart and know exactly who I am;
You even know the small details like when I take a seat and when I stand up again.
Even when I am far away, you know what I am thinking.
You observe my wanderings and my sleeping, my waking and my dreaming, 
and you know everything I do in more detail than even I do.
You know what I'm going to say long before I say it.
It is true, Eternal One, that you know everything and everyone."
