Tattoos
Tattoos are the in thing. Arms, legs, necks, heads--there is not really any place on the body that escapes the tattoo artist. I read recently that about 20% of Americans have a tattoo somewhere on their bodies.
Some people have hardly an inch of untouched skin. Tattoos stretch all the way down their arms and legs. They are rather amazing to behold. Others have tattoos we never even see. They come in every variety and shape. (And since one in five of us have a tattoo, I'm just guessing...)
But while I have never been particularly inclined to have a flower or a heart or anything else for that matter, there is one tattoo that I want to have.
Permanently and forever.
"The one who is victorious I will make a pillar in the temple of my God. Never again will they leave it. I will write on them the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from my God; and I will also write on them my new name." Revelation 3:12
