Here Comes the Judge

Over the past year or so, it seems that we have seen legal case after legal case overturned. Judgments have been set aside.  Prisoners have been exonerated and set free.  

Evidence is mishandled. Witnesses do not remember clearly. Judges and juries make mistakes. And sometimes, the innocent become the guilty, punished for an act they didn't do.

While earthly judgment will never be perfect, heavenly judgment is. When it comes to eternity, the judgment will be honest, fair, and correct. And fortunately for all of us, it will also be covered with mercy, grace, and the blood of Jesus.

"All this is evidence that God's judgment is right, and as a result you will be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are suffering. God is just: He will pay back trouble to those who  trouble you and give relief to you who are troubled, and to us as well. This will happen when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven in blazing fire with his powerful angels." 2 Thessalonians 1:5-6

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."  1 John 1:9
