This Day
Christmas break is over. The days and hours have slipped by, and now it is time to go back to school. The rhythm of life will once again carry the routine of the work week.
I had no intention of stepping away from this early morning time for an entire month. But one day became two became thirty-something. And before I even realized how much time had passed, those mornings were gone.
I see so clearly my need to be more mindful of the days that God gives me. More thankful for the blessings that come so generously. More aware of those around me. More prayerful for those I love.
I pray God will grant you grace and peace in this new year. That you will find joy in each and every day. That you will have strength when the days are long and sweet rest when you are weary.
2013 will only come one day at a time. One hour at a time. One minute at a time.
