God is On the Move

"Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, 'Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?' 

And I said, 'Here am I. Send me." Isaiah 6:8

I woke up this morning with music running through my head.

"God is on the move, on the move. Hallelujah!"

And he is.

I stand in amazement at the ways that God is on the move in Small Town, Texas.

Jefferson Street Boxing Club. Someone not only heard the call to minister to youth but also answered. Someone said, "Here am I. Send me." (And who doesn't love this--Vacation Boxing School?) Check it out right here.  http://jeffersonstreetbox.com   

The Hope Center. Two young women heard the call to create a place for short term emergency housing. They said, "Here we are. Send us." Because even Small Town, Texas has people living in their cars. And that should not be.

Food on the Move. A young woman dreamed of a way to bring summer lunches to rural areas across the county. She could not bear the idea that children go hungry when school is out. And she said, "Here am I. Send me." http://www.citysquare.org/programs/hunger/foodonthemove/ 

God is on the move. And he says, "Whom shall I send?"

Are we going to move with him?
