Life in the Fast Lane
We have a new toll road in Texas. Highway 130 (also known as the Pickle Parkway) runs from Austin to Seguin, and the posted speed limit is 85. It is the fastest speed limit in the country. Of course, you have to pay $6.17 each way for the privilege of speed. You also need to watch out for feral hogs as you're flying along. Hitting a 200 pound pig at 85 mph is never good.
It sounds a lot like life. The analogies come so easily that it almost seems like cheating.
Pickle Parkway. (How perfect is that? It makes me smile.)
Going faster and faster but always at a cost.
Colliding with the feral hogs of life.
Maybe it's time to get off of the Parkway.
"The LORD will fight for you. You need only to be still." Exodus 14:14
