Again

Fear once again rocks the world.

I clicked on the news this morning and found that terrorists have attacked Brussels. Explosions rocked the airport and train station. From across the ocean we feel the anguish of the people of Belgium.

And we are afraid.

We look around and see friends and loved ones beset by sorrow.

And we are afraid.

We send our littles off to kindergarten and our big kids off to college.

And we are afraid.

Yet God is still here, showing himself to us in the most amazing ways if only we open our eyes.

While I was reading about the attack in Brussels, I accidentally clicked on an ad in the sidebar. Annoyed, I looked at the ad that had disturbed my reading. It was an ad for a Cadillac. But it wasn't the Cadillac that got my attention. It was the name of the ad campaign.

Dare Greatly.

When we see sorrow and fear and tragedy all around us, it is time to dare greatly.

When we are afraid and see only darkness around us, it is time to dare greatly.

Today, it is time to dare greatly.

Maybe I should buy a Cadillac.

"The LORD is with me; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?" Psalm 118:6
